Match an identity document to the person presenting it
Ask your customer to photograph their document and complete a live face check. MasterID reads the document, checks the capture and compares the document portrait with the person in front of the camera.
How it works
One link for the document and face check
ID + Face Match is available through MasterID Verification Link. It is created as a single-purpose link and cannot be combined with another verification type.

Choose the document
Create an ID + Face Match link and select National ID, passport or driving licence.

Send the link and token
Share the link with your customer together with its 9-digit authorisation token.

The customer completes the check
After entering their details and token, they photograph the selected document and complete the live face capture.

Review the result
The completed session and downloadable report appear in your MasterID account. The customer does not see the result.
Customer experience
Clear steps on a phone
The customer opens the link on their phone, confirms the invitation and follows the guided document and face checks. If they leave before finishing, they can return to the same link and continue an incomplete submission.

Choose the document required for each link
The document choice is fixed when the link is created, so every invited customer is asked for the same type of identification.
Passport
Read the passport details and portrait, then compare them with the live face capture.
Driving licence
Check the driving licence details and portrait against the person presenting the document.

The result follows the same access controls and account separation as every other MasterID verification.

Price
UGX 7,500
Charged when the completed result is a match or no match. Failed and unfinished checks are not charged.
