Acceptable Use Policy

Verification data is sensitive. This policy sets out how MasterID accounts, API keys and results may be used, and what will lead to suspension.

Last updated: 3 September 2026

Permitted use

Run checks on people and businesses you have a lawful basis to verify, for onboarding, compliance, fraud prevention, credit assessment, employment screening or service delivery.

Store results as evidence of the decision you made and share them internally with the people who need them.

Prohibited use

Do not run checks out of curiosity, to trace or profile a person, or on behalf of someone who has no relationship with the subject.

Do not resell, republish or bulk export results as a data product, and do not build a parallel database of checked individuals for a purpose other than your own compliance record.

Do not use results to discriminate against a person on a basis prohibited by law, and do not use the platform for harassment, stalking or debt collection pressure.

Do not scrape, load test without agreement, probe for vulnerabilities or attempt to bypass rate limits and access controls.

Credentials

API keys are issued to your organisation and must not be shared outside it or embedded in client side code, mobile apps or public repositories.

Enforcement

We monitor for unusual query patterns. Where use appears to breach this policy we may throttle, suspend or terminate access, and report the matter to the relevant authority where the law requires it.

Report suspected misuse to sales@ugmail.co.
